U.N Women’s Market For Change

More than 70 percent of market vendors in Fiji are women, that’s according the United Nations’ Market For Change project. It makes sense then that market vendors around Fiji are being educated on gender equality and economic growth.

This week women market vendors from 10 sites around Fiji were invited to attend a one and a half day conference called ‘Market For Change.’

Anna Parini is the Manager of the UN Project ‘Market For Change’. Allison spoke to her on The Midday Show earlier in the week. She started by asking Anna to explain what the project is about.

Varanisese Maisamoa is the president of the Rakiraki market vendor association and she attended the conference
