A Banana Cake Recipe you can try :)

WHAT YOU NEED:
For the cake:
  • 1 1/2 cups bananas, mashed, ripe
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 1/8 cups sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Frosting:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups icing sugar

STEPS IN MAKING THIS RECIPE:

  1. Preheat your oven to 275 F which is 135 degrees
  2. Creese and flour a 9×13 inch pan
  3. And than in a small bowl mix the mashed banana with the lemon juice and set it aside
  4. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and salt together and set that aside
  5. And in a large bowl, beat the ¾ cup butter and 2 1/8 cups sugar until it’s nice and fluffy
  6. Once done, beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla
  7. Once well blended, beat in the flour mixture with the buttermilk
  8. Mix well and add in the banana mixture
  9. Pour tha batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for one hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  10. When cooked, remove from the oven and place it directly into the freezer for 45minutes. This will make the cake very moist

FOR THE FROSTING:

  1. Cream the butter and cream cheese until smooth add in the 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  2. Add icing sugar and beat on low speed until combined, then on high speed until frosting is smooth.
  3. Spread on cooled cake.
  4. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over top of the frosting, if desired
