As we journey together through another beautiful day, we take a look at what happened on this day in Music History.

On this day in Music History, in the year 1963, The Beatles were at No.1 on the UK and US Singles Chart, with “I Want To Hold Your Hand”. Interestingly, in this same year, this song was the UK’s Christmas No.1 track.

Also, on this day in 1970, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles went to No.1 on both the UK and US Singles Chart with the track “Tears Of A clown”. Interesting fact about this track, it was written by Stevie Wonder four years before it was released (1966).

Third great fact about the 12th of December, in 1987 George Michael went to No.1  on the US Singles Chart with his track, “Faith”. Fascinatingly, it was taken for the album of the same name. It was was the top-selling single of the year  in the US in 1988.

Last but not the least, on this day in 1992, the late Whitney Houston was at No.1 on the US Album Chart with “The Bodyguard”. Great fact about this album? It has sold over 44 million copies worldwide in 1992 alone. Interestingly, in that same year it became the Best-selling Soundtrack Of All Time, as well as one of the Best-selling Albums Of All Time.
