The Vodafone Flying Fijians left for Tonga yesterday morning for the Pacific Nations Cup opener against the Ikale Tahi on Saturday.
The 28-member team has a lot of experience and go into the match as favorites after having secured wins over Italy and Scotland.
Winger, Josua Tuisova, says the team will do its best to get the number one spot from Oceania into the 2019 World Cup.
“This will be the first time for me to pay against Tonga and this is my second test for the Flying Fijians and I’m looking forward for the challenge and I’m ready to play for Fiji even though Olympics is over, we just have to focus to qualify for the 2019 World Cup.”The match kicks off at 2pm in Tonga on Saturday.The top two teams in the combine results of 2016 and 2017 PNC will qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
