(Fiji Times) – PEOPLE at the Nadi International Airport literally stopped in their tracks when the world’s smallest man jetted into the country yesterday afternoon.
Standing no taller than six baked bean cans, Chandra Bahdur Dangi said he was glad to be in the country after 17 hours of flying from Nepal.
“I am very happy to be in Fiji. This is my first time in the Pacific,” the 76-year-old said, speaking through his companion and translator, Maite Gurung.
The 54.6cm diminutive Nepalese national lives in an isolated village called Reemkholi situated about 540km southwest of Kathmandu.
Mr Dangi was on his way to Samoa to perform in a circus. He was spotted by The Fiji Times news crew in Nadi.
