His latest album is set to be released this month…and it looks like John Mayer may have the jam for those moments, when love eludes us!
With singles “Moving On and Getting Over”, to “Still Feel Like Your Man”…it seems a new chapter is also on its way with Mayer. In an interview with Rolling Stones magazine, he was quoted as saying “It’s beyond a break-up record..it’s about my impression of loss. It’s about the ghost in the room….I actually, for the first time in my life, believe I recorded exactly what I was feeling”!
As a result of his touring with Dead and Company, Mayer postponed working on his next studio album until January 2016, with plans to finish it by the end of that year. In November, 2016 Mayer released “Love on the Weekend” as the lead single from his EP The Search for Everything: Wave One, which was then released in January, 2017. A second EP, The Search for Everything: Wave Two, was released in February this year….
Mayer tweeted, “The Search For Everything album will contain 14 songs. The next drop will be the entire album. Stay tuned…”. The long-awaited album’s release date set, for April 14, 2017.
After which, he plans to continue touring in 2017 as part of Dead & Company….a band he formed with three former Grateful Dead musicians.
