In many cases, while both apps are able to open, they’re missing parts of their features.
Both platforms seem to have issues, especially when sending and receiving messages as well as posting new content.
Although, while widespread, the issue isn’t impacting all Facebook and Instagram users.
The outage has currently lasted several hours.
The last time Facebook experienced an outage like this was in November 2018.
