Cape ToWn Sevens

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Gareth Baber is expected to focus on winning possession, keeping possession, discipline, defence and consistency ahead of the Cape Town 7s this weekend.

Baber has always highlighted that he wants consistency in performance and not to play catch up rugby.

Fiji struggled to find form against USA in the Cup quarter final of the Dubai 7s as they were starved of possession by the Americans. We struggled to win kick offs and our one on one tackles were not sticking.

Fiji is pooled with England, France and Kenya in the Cape Town 7s.

Fiji will take on France in their first pool match at 9.59pm this Saturday.

They will take on Kenya at 1.20am Sunday and then play their last pool match against England at 5.03am Sunday.

The Cup quarterfinals will start at 11.04pm Sunday, semifinals will start at 3.34am Monday and the Cup Final will be played at 6.44am Monday.
