Asaeli Tuivoka has been included in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s squad ahead of the Vancouver 7s this weekend.
This has been confirmed by Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O’Connor who says they are not sending any replacement for Waisea Nacuqu who was injured in Las Vegas.
O’Connor says Tuivoka had joined the team travelling to Las Vegas 7s as the extra men but was not selected to play.
He also says Batinisavu Uluiyata who was also with the team in Las Vegas but was not selected will be another contender for a place in Vancouver.
Meanwhile, Aminiasi Tuimaba will miss Fiji’s first pool match this weekend after he was cited for dangerous play against New Zealand.
He has served two match suspensions in Las Vegas.
The National team arrived in Vancouver earlier this morning.
Fiji will play Kenya in their first pool match of the Vancouver 7s at 5.36am Sunday, they will then take on Canada at 9.08am Sunday and face Samoa in their last pool game at 1.02pm Sunday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 6.08am next Monday, Cup semifinals start at 10.08am next Monday and the Cup final will kick off at 1.19pm next Monday.
