The hype of being 5 time champions at Hong Kong and making history for Fiji and for Rugby 7s definitely got each and every Fijian excited about the next leg which of course was the Singapore 7s.
For the team at Mix FM, there was extra excitement because this was the one leg we could count on our very own Director, Dr. David Lucas, to get us some quality pictures and videos to share with the listeners and followers on our social media pages.
So, it was a first for Mix FM as well. Having our very own reporter at the grounds doing the hard work to share with Fiji Rugby fans all over the world what was going down at the Singapore National Stadium last weekend.
Unfortunately, we lost out winning back to back at Singapore 7s but all in all, it was a great weekend for Fiji fans because despite the 2 pool game losses, our boys still managed to get us to the finals.
Fiji is now in 2nd spot in the overall points table with 142 points while USA still stands at the top of the table with 145 points. However, with NZ (130 points) and South Africa (121 points) following close behind, the last two legs of this race should be definitely be exciting.
We wish our boys all the best for the London and Paris 7s come next month and we will definitely be cheering on our boys every step of the way.
