Robbie Williams bursts into tears as he dedicates “Angels” to Manchester victims

Crowd sings “Angels” for Robbie. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as tears rolled down Robbie’s face and he had to stop singing.

Robbie Williams’ “Angels” was dedicated to the Manchester Bombing victims. The superstar was performing in the city’s Etihad Stadium – the grounds of Manchester City Football Club. When he announced he was dedicating his song, Angels, to those who died in the attack, he was overcome with emotion.

But halfway through one line in the song, he stopped singing. And was visibly upset on the large screens projecting his face to thousands of fans. The crowd began to cheer as Williams was in tears, wiping his face and becoming very emotional.

As his fans loudly sang the song for him, he tried to carry on singing. But couldn’t and walked away. This, allowing the people of Manchester to sing in his place. Those who went to the concert said there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the 50,000 fans sang and cried together.

His tribute comes just 11 days after 22 people were killed in Manchester Arena. Among the dead were children. Survivors of the attack are still recovering in hospital.
