Rugby League legend Mark Geyer believes that the Vodafone Fiji Bati’s passion and emotions will not be enough to get them over the line against the Australian Kangaroos this Friday.
Speaking to Triple M Grill Team in Australia, Geyer says the Bati have given their all and their quarterfinal against the Kiwis was their “grand final” for the tournament.
Geyer adds the Aussies will be too strong for the Bati despite captain Kevin Naiqama’s statement that they will go all the way through God’s favour.
Meanwhile, Bati and Sea Eagles hooker Apisai Koroisau denies that they have already played their final declaring they can defy their past against the Kangaroos to win a place in the final.
Already questions are being asked whether Fiji can trump another giant a second week running, however, Koroisau says the team is not getting caught up in the hype of their emotional win.
The Vodafone Fiji Bati will take on the Kangaroos at 10pm Friday in the first semifinal while Tonga will take on England at 6pm Saturday.
