Man in custody for stealing remains at the cemetry

Police have last night arrested a man in Rakiraki after he was caught stealing the remains of late Simran Singh from the Rakiraki Lalmitti cemetery. The man in his forties is currently under custody and is being interviewed at the Rakiraki Police Station. Police acted on a tip-off and rushed to the cemetery, managing to catch the man in the act. He had in his possession some bones and flowers. 15 year old Simran Singh was earlier yesterday cremated at the cemetery. Police are carrying out their investigations along the line that the man would have used the bone remains for witchcraft purposes.
