Forecast Predicts Heavy Rain and Possible Flooding Of Low Lying Areas
A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Nadi, Ba-Lautoka, Tavua-Vatukoula, Ra-Rakiraki and Interior Ba Area, Kadavu, Beqa and Vatulele.
A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for Macuata and Bua Provinces and Southern Lau Group.
This is due to an extensive area of cloud and rain that is approaching the group from the west.
According to the national weather office in Nadi, occasional rain can be expected. Which will be heavy at times and squally thunderstorms over Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Kadavu, Beqa and Vatulele, Ba-Lautoka Area, Interior Ba Area, Greater Nadi Area.
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Macuata and Bua Provinces and Southern Lau Group.
Localized heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
Some disruption to traffic flow and poor visibility on land as well as out at sea.
