Families and supporters of the Vodafone Flying Fijians turned out in numbers last night at the Wesley City Mission Church to farewell the national team for the Rugby World Cup.
While addressing the team, FRU Chairman Francis Kean reminded the players about the importance of bonding as a team, working together and giving their best until the final whistle.
Kean also stressed that they should always believe in themselves and not forget that they already have the backing of Fiji and those who will be watching in England and Wales.
Meanwhile lock Nemia Soqeta who hails from Yaro village in Malolo says he was touched by the service and was encouraged by the spiritual message from Reverend Isireli Kacimaiwai.
The team will leave our shores for England next Monday and will play against Canada next Sunday in a warm up match before taking on England at 7am on the 19th of next month.
