A brave female surfer who lost her arm in a shark attack is still riding the waves – despite being six months pregnant.
Bold Bethany Hamilton was just 13 years old when she lost her arm after being set upon by giant tiger shark while out on her board.
Panicked locals rushed out into the sea to capture the whopping 15ft beast which was killed and taken back to the coast.
But the trauma didn’t stop the Hawaii native – she soon went on to become American surfing champion and her incredible tale of courage caught the attention of the world.
Some 12 years after the attack,the 25 year old and her husbanb Adam Driks revealed they are expecting a baby boy
She plans to keep on surfing until the baby is born and tweeted: “Loving the feeling of our lil guy moving inside of me. Being a mom is a new exciting adventure.”
